Ok so maybe there was a restriction added to the duel arena for a reason idk. But my opinion that this restricition is stupid as staff aren't allowed to mm and this therefore basically allows players to scam you as and when they wish to.

    SUGGESTION: REMOVE DUEL ITEM RESTRICION

Jagex is the one who changed the dueling interface, the duel arena is now a place where you can ONLY stake coins/platinum tokens. As we use the current osrs cache we have to use their interface, so it's not so easy as to just remove the "restriction".

Item staking in my opinion shouldn't be a thing as it over values items like it did on osrs. As soon as the duel arena item staking was removed from osrs the prices on all the items crashed because people hoarded them for Odds-Staking and rwt. We are not allowing people to scam, the person who got scammed is allowing themselves to be scammed by using an outside game mechanic that isn't meant for the real game.

The dueling arena isn't a place to stake items anymore, rs3 changed this years ago and osrs did finally as well. It's just how staking is and will be.

A shop should be added where you can sell items for a set price for platinum tokens

We aren't actually using that interface though? We're using the one from before they changed it I'm sure.

Restricting item staking forces stakers to sell their hoarded items into the eco for gold/plats, circulating a better eco. Scamming at duel arena is still taken seriously if someone is intentionally scamming several people. We have and will ban future scammers, but it still comes down to if you get scammed it's your own fault. As item staking is not meant to be a mechanic in the game.

We have measures in place to still take care of trust stakers and they can/will be banned.

Noone should assume they are safe to trust stake scam.
