EDIT: SO APPARENTLY THE "WHAT GUIDES ARE NEEDED" POST NEEDS UPDATING AND I MADE THIS WHOLE GUIDE WITHOUT REALIZING THERE'S ALREADY A GOOD WOODCUTTING GUIDE. OOPS.

    Hi there.

This is just a very basic 1-99 woodcutting guide for probably one of the most simple skills in the game.

To level up woodcutting you have to:
    cut wood

    That's about it!

Step one - from home, walk north west and buy an axe!

Then go a little further south to the teleporter / wizard guy and select Skilling -> Woodcutting guild!

Once you're here, it gets really complicated. From levels 1 to 15, cut down "Tree" 's

    At 15, switch to Oak.

    At 30, switch to Willow.

At 45, switch to Maple. At this point, you should invest in getting a rune axe, too. They're purchasable from the store from the first gif!

At 60, switch to Yew. At 61, you can start using a dragon axe, which are dropped from the Dagganoth kings or purchased from the GE/other players!

    At 75, switch to Magic.

At 90, you can switch to Redwood logs.

One very easy way to not have to bank and thats have a tinderbox and bonfire logs as you cut. Once you reach 99 fire making you will still need to cut for more for 99 wood cutting so at that time trade tinderbox for knife and make arrow shafts so you dont have to bank. Redwoods give the most shafts per log so you get a large amount to add feathers to in the time and logs it takes to get to 99 wcing.

There is also a bank chest and deposit box in the woodcutting guild. Two of each, actually. One near the entrance and one up by the Redwood platforms.

    It's worth notig the following:
-you will save a lot of time if you carry a tinderbox/knife while woodcutting. You can light a sigle fire and then use another log on it to burn the whole inventory
-makig arrow shafts while woodcutting will save you time later on if you're going for the rune arrows mehod to 99 fletch; plus you get arrow heads from crystal keys
-using an infernal axe (use a smoulderig stone on the d axe) will help you train firemaking while woodcutting (adds up a lot overtime?
    - you can buy a lumberjack outfit with a bond; outfit boosts woodcuttig exp by 12.5%
-adding exp rates per log might help some
