The whole reason of adding the heatmap would be to increase traffic inside the wilderness, it would end up in pking finding other pkers. If the wildy was actually active there would be no need for such thing.

No, but only one or two servers even come to mind that I've ever seen have a heatmap, and they were much larger servers with a large number of players in the wilderness.
