Prayer is probably one of the most straightforward skills to train.
This guide will outline the various methods you can use to train this skill.

The quickest way of levelling up your prayer is to use various bones and/or ensouled heads on an altar. It is worth nothing that using bones on an altar gives much more XP than burying them. The only exception is burying lava dragon bones on the lava dragon isle. This gives more experience than using it on an altar but offers no chance of saving the bones.

OFFERING AT AN ALTAR

There are three altars which you might want to use to train prayer.

The first, and worst, of the three is the Occult altar at home.
This altar offers the worst XP reward per offering and 0% chance to save a bone or ensouled head when training prayer.

The second is the donator zone or dz altar.
This altar offers a better XP reward than the Occult altar and a 20% chance to save a bone or ensouled head when training prayer.

The last, and best, of the three is the chaos altar, located in deep wilderness. This altar offers a 50% chance to save a bone or ensouled head. It may be reached by teleporting to ::44s/Ghorrock and running a little south-west.

There is a chaos druid located outside the altar's building. They will unnote your noted bones for you, for a small fee, so bring some cash when training prayer here.

USING THE BONECRUSHER

Another way to go about training prayer is to use the bonecrusher. This will give you passive prayer XP, as you will not have to offer the bones to the altar manually. Instead, the bonecrusher automatically 'crushes' bones, that you get as a drop during PvMing, and rewards you with XP.
The bonecrusher can be bought from the slayer reward shop (Nieve) for 100 slayer points.

The bonecrusher can then be charged using Ecto-tokens.

These are sold by the ghost near the Occult altar at home. The better the bone, the more tokens you will receive per bone.
