just take a look at how i did it with the dh tourney, ask people to enter and ask them to give a prize. When tournament will grow the interest will grow as well and people will donate some prizes. As for the randomization i used a randomizer website and gave everyone a number.

Take a look at one of these threads to see how i set it up and maintained it, coordinated it etc. If you want any advice feel free to pm me ingame/forums/discord. Sadly i am a bit busy irl so cannot set it up myself.
